Five UAA Teams Ranked in USTFCCCA Women's Preseason Poll

Five UAA teams are ranked in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) women's preseason poll.

Defending Association champion Washington University is ranked fourth in the national poll and first in the Midwest Region. The Bears return five of their seven runners from last year's team that finished fifth at the NCAA Championships.

University of Rochester enters the season ranked 12th nationally coming off its first team appearance at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in more than 25 years. The Yellowjackets bring back four runners who competed at the national meet.

Emory University opens the season ranked first in the South/Southeast Region and 21st in the USTFCCCA poll. The Eagles captured their second consecutive NCAA regional title in 2015 and made their 11th D-III championship appearance in a row.

University of Chicago is ranked 26th nationally and seeks its seventh consecutive trip to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship. The Maroons return five of the seven runners at last year's national meet.

Brandeis University is ranked 33rd in the preseason poll. Emily Bryson returns after earning Runner of the Year and Rookie of the Year at last year's UAA Cross Country Championship.
