Rachel Bargabos' Sixth Place Finish Leads Rochester at Yellowjacket Invitational

Junior Rachel Bargabos ran a strong 6th place to help lead the University of Rochester women's cross country team to a 4th place finish at the annual Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Genesee Valley Park.
 
Bargabos clocked at 23:12.1 for the 6-kilometer course, earning her third top-15 run of the season.  She finished sixth of 191 runners in the field.
 
Rochester as a team was 4th in the team standings, compiling a team score of 132 points.  Elizabethtown was the event champion with 25 points while Case Western Reserve was second with 45.  RIT ended third with 106 points and Geneseo rounded out the top-5 with 148 points.
 
The second finisher for the Yellowjackets was junior Samantha Tetef who placed 22nd in 24:11.5.  Eileen Bequette, a first-year runner, was third through the chute at 24:31.8, earning 33rd place.
 
Another first-year runner was 35th, with Danielle Bartolotta crossing the finish in 24:32.5.  Sophomore Kelly Reese rounded out the 'Jacket scorers in 41st, earning a time of 24:39.3.
 
The UR displacers were sophomore Julia Myers in 54th (25:01.9) and junior Ariane Hasbrouckin 56th (25:07.1).
