From Case Western Reserve University Athletics
The Case Western Reserve University women recorded a second-place team finish at the 2018 Inter-Regional Rumble in Oberlin, Ohio on Saturday morning.
The Spartans totaled 86 points at the meet, finishing close behind host Oberlin, which won the event with a score of 77. Baldwin Wallace finished third among the 26 teams in the standings with a score of 115.
Junior Madeline Lindemann was fourth out of the 313 runners in the women's 6K with a time of 22:18.4 to lead the Spartans, while sophomore Kiera Olson added a 15th-place finish in a time of 22:51.6. Placing 19th was senior Isa Torres-Padin with a time of 23:01.2, and was followed closely in 20th-place by senior Ellen Searswith a mark of 23:02.8. Completing the team's scoring five was senior Jennifer Hoffmann, who finished 33rdoverall in a time of 23:20.3.
Rounding out CWRU's top seven finishers were junior Vanessa Pasadyn in 42nd place with a time of 23:32.6 and senior Marissa Miyagi in 43rd place with a time of 23:33.2.
