Washington University Women Earn Runner-Up Finish at NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships

The Washington University in St. Louis women's cross country program finished second today at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Louisville, Ky., at the E.P. Tom Sawyer Park.

The No. 1–ranked women's program finished second with 138 points, behind Johns Hopkins' 125 points. Seniors Paige Lawler led the Bears finished seventh with a time of 21:26.1 while Sophie Watterson crossed the finish line at 21:51.6 in 19thplace as both collected All-American status.

Junior Katie Snodgrass turned in a time of 22:17.5 (45th) as freshman Ella Behrens finished at 22:32.8 (62nd). Sophomore Sophie Young rounded out WashU with a time of 22:36.7.
