ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The men's soccer team played their final non-conference match of the 2019 regular season and fell 3-0 at WashU on Monday night.
The Bears used a goal in the 38th minute to establish a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, WashU made the score 2-0 in the 66th minute and added a late tally in the 89th minute to give them a winning margin of 3-0.
The Panthers attack pressed WashU in the first 16 minutes of the match. Greenville had five shots in the early moments, showing the Bears that the Panthers would be a formidable opponent.
Overall, WashU outshot Greenville 22-6 in the match.
Juan Salazar ended with two shots, both on goal, and Ruben Martinez had a shot on goal.
Goalkeeper Nick Holland produced five saves in the match.
