(WOOSTER, Ohio) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team, ranked 11th in the nation, traveled to Wooster, Ohio, for two matches, winning both by 9-0 scores on Saturday, February 25. The Tartans are now 7-1 after topping Otterbein University and the College of Wooster.
Inside the Results
- Junior Danna Taylor and sophomore Crystal Zhou won twice at first doubles: 8-0 vs. Otterbein and 8-1 vs. Wooster.
- Zhou's 6-0, 6-0 win at second singles against Otterbein was match point.
- Freshman Anna Chow's 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles against Wooster clinched the match.
- Sophomore Zoe Angell earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at third singles against Wooster while freshman Manuela Van Cotthem had an identical score at fourth singles against Otterbein.
- Freshman Divya Venkatarama earned four wins on the day to remain in the clubhouse lead with 29 total wins this year.
