#7 Tartans Tripped Up by #2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at ITA National Tournament

(NICHOLASVILLE, Ky.) - The seventh-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's tennis team stumbled to second-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in the championship semifinal of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship on Saturday afternoon in Nicholasville, Kentucky. CMS downed the Tartans 9-0 moving the Tartans record to 9-2 for the season. The three-day event is being played at the Top Seed Tennis Club and hosted by Centre College.

The Tartans will now face fifth-ranked Pomona-Pitzer Sunday in the third-place match at 12:00 p.m. The Sagehen's will enter the match with an overall mark of 4-1 following an 8-1 loss Saturday to third-ranked Emory University.
