Women's Soccer Plays to 0-0 Draw at Sewanee

The No. 15 ranked Emory University women's soccer team was locked into a defensive stalemate Tuesday night, playing the Sewanee Tigers to a 0-0 draw on the road.

Neither side could create much offensive opportunities across the 90 minutes of action with the two programs combining for just four shots on goal in the contest.

Three of those four chances came in the first half as Emory headed into the halftime break with a 2-1 edge in shots on goal. Graduate student Claire Wilkinson had the Eagles' best chance with an attempt on frame in the 38th minute but the Tigers keeper was there for the stop.

Emory applied more pressure throughout the final 45 minutes, leading to 10 more chances but had just one on frame from graduate student Sylvie Prepetit in the 53rd minute. Prepetit had the best scoring threat of the night for either team with her shot in the 88th minute but missed high right.

The Eagles (4-1-2) will now head into the UAA conference slate with a meeting on tap against No. 3 ranked WashU. Kickoff from St. Louis is scheduled for 12:00 PM ET.
