Football: Bison Fall to Spartans on Road

Cleveland, Ohio – Bethany College faced Case Western in a PAC matchup at DiSanto Field Saturday afternoon.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

• Case Western scored on the opening drive taking a 6-0 lead
• The Bison fumbled on the return giving the Spartans the ball back inside the five yard line with the Spartans taking a 13-0 lead
• In the Bison's second drive the Green and White reached the Case Western 24-yard line and brought in senior kicker Sean Cole to kick a 41-yard field goal that fell short
• In the opening minute of the second quarter the Spartans made a 34-yard field goal taking 16-0 lead
• Bethany trailed 39-0 at the half
• The Spartans held the Bison scoreless in the game  

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Spartans had 525 yards of total offense compared to the Bison's 192 yards of total offense
• The Bison had a total of 160 return yards
• Qujuan McGlothin had his second straight game with an interception
• Brennon Smith led the Bison with nine tackles and one forced fumble
• Domernick Hollis had seven tackles including one for a loss of 1-yard

The Bison head into the bye week 1-6 (1-5 PAC). The Green and White return to action on Saturday, October 30 when they host the Westminster Titans at 1 pm on Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium.
