CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 10th-ranked Brandeis women's tennis team dropped their second match of the spring season today, 9-0, at the hands of ninth-ranked MIT. The Judges fall to 0-2, the Engineers improve to 1-0.

The Judges were shorthanded on the day, with only five eligible players on the roster, forcing them to surrender points at the bottom of the lineup. In singles action, the Engineers won all five matches in straight sets, with sophomore Ana Hatfield (Rockford, Ill. / Boylan Central Catholic) dropping the closest match at #2, 6-4, 6-4, to Seraphin Castelino.

The Judges are next in action against UAA rivals Emory in the opening round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championships at Centre College in Kentucky on February 28th.
