How it Happened
SET ONE
•
Natalie Aston opened the match with aces on three of the first four points.
• Saint Vincent would win six out of the next seven points to even the set at 6-6.
• A
Louisa Kishton kill regained an 8-7 lead for Hopkins that they would hold for the remainder of the opening frame.
•
Lauren Anthony's second kill of the first set gave Hopkins set point at 24-17, and after Saint Vincent tallied two unanswered, a Hannah Devine service error gave JHU a 25-20 victory.
SET TWO
• As they did in the opening set, Hopkins raced out to a 5-0 lead on the back of Aston's serve.
• Back-to-back kills from Kishton made it 8-3, but the Bearcats would claw their way back to even the set at 13-13.

Eleni Panagopoulos notched a kill to cap a 4-0 Hopkins run and regained a 17-13 advantage for the Blue Jays.
• Saint Vincent got one back to bring it to 17-14 before Kishton tallied two more kills to make it 20-14.
• Panagopoulos served out the remainder of the set for Hopkins, and an Anthony kill gave Hopkins a 25-15 second-set win.
SET THREE
• The hot starts continued for Hopkins in the third, this time jumping out to a 6-0 lead, and again it was Aston at the service line.
• JHU would cling to that lead for the entirety of the third set, leading by as many as nine at 20-11 before forcing a Saint Vincent timeout.

Simone Bliss was credited with back-to-back kills to give Hopkins match point at 24-13, and Hopkins closed the match out with an attacking error by Saint Vincent.

SET ONE
• Hopkins dominated the first set from the beginning, racing out to a 12-3 lead before Rochester ultimately called its first time out.
• One of
Louisa Kishton's four first-set kills made it 13-4, and
Lauren Anthony added an ace from the service line to extend the lead to 16-5.
• The Blue Jays scored on every side-out opportunity in the opening set, with
Natalie Aston closing out the first with her first kill of the afternoon.
SET TWO
• A pair of early kills from Kishton gave Hopkins an early 6-3 lead.
•
Eleni Panagopoulos added an ace and a kill on consecutive points to extend the lead to 8-3.
• Hopkins later scored on five consecutive Aston serves to maintain a 15-6 advantage, and after exchanging six straight points,
Hannah Korslund would ultimately finish the 25-11 second-set Hopkins victory with her second kill of the set.
SET THREE
•
Annelisa O'Neal found her way into the box score in the third set with four straight points from the service line, including a pair of aces, to open a 9-3 lead for Hopkins.
• An Aston kill extended the Blue Jay advantage to 13-6, their largest lead of the set.
• Rochester would fight their way back to cut the lead to one at 20-19, however Hopkins would win five of the next seven points to take the third set, 25-21.
Inside the Box Score
• Rochester did not record a point while serving until the third set.
• O'Neil tallied her first two aces of the season and her career.
Up Next
• The Blue Jays will shift their attention to the conference schedule with a pair of Centennial Conference tilts next week. Hopkins will battle with Washington College Wednesday night before a doubleheader against Haverford and Arcadia on Saturday.
