Box Score WALTHAM, Mass.—No. 31 Swarthmore College Men's Tennis dropped a match on the road Saturday at No. 10 Brandeis University 7-1. Swarthmore's lone win came in top doubles. The sixth singles match was left unfinished, hence the total match score not adding up to nine.
John Lathrop and
Thibault Vernier knocked off the Brandeis Judges' top duo 8-4. In second doubles,
Jiung Jung and
Noah Criss fell 8-3, and
Simon Vernier and
Weiyi Zhu fell 8-4 in third doubles.
In singles action, none of the matches were particularly close. Lathrop pushed a tiebreaker game in the second set but couldn't take the set.
Swarthmore is back in action on Sunday at Amherst.
