The Muskingum men's soccer team dropped their season opener at Carnegie Mellon, 7-1.

How it Happened
- Carnegie Mellon used a strong first half to carry a 4-0 lead into the break.
- Muskingum capitalized on a penalty kick early in the second half before eventually falling, 7-1.
Inside the Numbers
- Muskingum was led by sophomore Mahfuz Yakubu with one goal. Yakubu also finished with a team-high three shots.
- Sophomore Morgan McKenna, sophomore Adam Yezbeck, sophomore Trevor Firkel, and freshman Christian Kido all added one shot for the Muskies as well.
- Freshman Zach Merchesano led the Muskies with three saves.
- Carnegie Mellon finished the night with 22 shots.
- Kuba Yiadom led the Tartans with two goals on three shots.
