A small squad of Case Western Reserve University swimmers finished competition on Saturday at the two-day Midwest Invitational, hosted by the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois.
The CWRU men combined for 241.5 points for a fourth-place finish.
Sophomore Michael Schiml placed fifth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:09.99 and added third-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:20.99.
In addition, sophomore Kelvin Tay placed fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (1:55.52), first-year Campbell Patterson finished fifth in the 50-yard freestyle (21.71) and sophomore Mathias Hostetler earned a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly (2:01.29).
