With the NCAA national meet on the horizon, the University of Chicago swimming and diving teams hosted the two-day Midwest Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The Maroons were second of six teams (505.5 points).
First-year Jota Iwase's time of 1:48.70 in the 200-yard butterfly was an NCAA qualifying mark as well. First-year Alexander Sun (200-yard backstroke) and sophomore Martin Baffico (100-yard butterfly) picked up wins as well.
