University of Chicago's Justin McQuality was selected as the NCAA Division III National Women's Assistant Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday.

Three UChicago field athletes qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships – Isabel Maletich (Long Jump and Triple Jump), Laura Darcey (Pentathlon and High Jump) and Isabel Garon (Pole Vault). The Maroon trio established new school records and ranked in the top seven nationally in each of those events. Maletich owned the top marks in both the long jump and triple jump, while Darcey was also first in the pentathlon.

McQuality's jumps and pole vault groups were dominant on the national stage. Three Maroons were listed in the top 26 of NCAA Division III in the indoor long jump, while three pole vaulters were in the top 32.

McQuality is in his second year coaching the Maroons. He was previously named USTFCCCA Midwest Region Women's Assistant Coach of the Year on March 11.
