Bears Wins Seven Titles at Hilltop Invitational

The Washington University in St. Louis men's indoor track and field team combined to win seven event titles at the Illinois College Hilltop Invitational held Friday in Jacksonville, Ill.

Sophomore Jacob Ridderhoff, junior Arthur Santoro and seniors Greig Dimailig and Nick Matteucci broke the school record in the distance medley relay with a time of 9:56.14. The mark ranks second in NCAA Division III.

The men's 4x400 (Dimailig, Andrew Whitaker, Santoro, John Harry Wagner) are now ranked fifth in DIII with a time of 3:18.78.  

Senior Marco Quaroni placed second in the 1-Mile (4:21.75). The 400m was swept by freshman Jack Henry Whetstone followed by sophomore Ian Thakur (51.57) and junior Luke Lamb (52.23). Senior Jacob Gray placed second in the 55 hurdles (7.77). Freshman Abayomi Awoyomi ihad an all-time PR in the triple jump (13.64m).
