Taylor Lake and Mia Farrell Receive Honors from WBCA and D3hoops.com

University of Chicago women's basketball players Taylor Lake and Mia Farrell both received All-Region distinction from D3hoops.com on Tuesday. Additionally, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) named Lake as an Honorable Mention All-American on Thursday.

Lake earned H.M. All-American honors for the second-straight season, while also garnering First Team All-Region from D3hoops.com. She was previously a Second Team All-Region selection in 2019.

The senior forward was the team leader in scoring (14.1 point per game), assists (69), blocks (25) and steals (42). She was second in rebounding at 5.8 per game, and shot 48.2 percent from the field overall. In the school's career record books, Lake appears in the top 10 in six different categories, including No. 3 in points and No. 4 in field goals made.

Farrell picked up a spot on the Second Team All-Region for the second time in her career. The senior point guard was second on the squad with 13.4 points per game while adding 3.8 rebounds per game, 51 assists and 40 steals. Farrell made 37.3 percent of her three-pointers and 77.4 percent of her free throws. She is ranked in the school's top 10 in seven career categories, including No. 2 in free throws made and No. 5 in points scored.

The Maroons concluded the 2019-20 season with a 21-6 overall record, won a conference title and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
