Four New York University wrestlers have been named All-Americans by the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA), the most-ever in NYU history.
Seniors Evan Drill (Neshanic Station, NJ/Somerville) (149 pounds) and Sean Lyons (Sewell, NJ/St. Joseph's Prep) (157) received First Team honors. Senior Jack La Corte (Monmouth Beach, NJ/Christian Brothers Academy) (197) was awarded Second Team and sophomore Izaake Zuckerman (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde) (174) was named Third Team.
All-America honors are typically determined by athletes' performances at the NCAA National Championships. Drill, who finished the season with a 21-7 record, qualified for nationals with a third-place finish at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championships. He finishes his NYU career with 113 wins, sixth-most in team history, while his 74 victories at 142/149 pounds is the most in team annals.
