Tiffany Crooks Resigns as CWRU Head Coach

From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

After leading the squad for the last 12 seasons, Tiffany Crooks announced her resignation as the Head Coach of the Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team, in order to pursue other opportunities.

"I want to thank Tiffany for her 12 years of mentoring and coaching our Spartan student- athletes," said CWRU Director of Athletics Amy Backus.  "She has represented the university and our department with great professionalism and we wish her all the best in the next chapter."

The winningest coach in program history, Crooks has served at her post since the 2007 campaign, garnering University Athletic Association Coaching Staff of the Year honors in both 2009 and 2011.  The 2011 season proved to be one of the most successful in the program's history, as she led the team to a 13-4-3 overall record, setting a school record for wins in a season and guiding the squad to the only postseason berth in program history.  Crooks' teams were ranked as high as 13th in Division III during her time at CWRU.

Crooks has mentored 56 All-UAA selections during her time with the team, including Kendra Simmons, who also earned NSCAA All-America Third Team honors in 2011.

Crooks has helped guide the team to the NSCAA Team Academic Award each of her 12 seasons with the squad.  Elle Zadina secured CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team Honors in 2017.

"The greatest gift of my time at CWRU have been the relationships with student-athletes, alums, and colleagues," said Crooks.  "I will miss those dearly.  It was a privilege to coach here, and I'm excited for what's to come."

Case Western Reserve will be conducting a national search for Crooks' replacement, starting immediately.
