From Emory University Athletics

Emory University senior Shivani Beall from the women's soccer team has been named to the Academic All-America Second Team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Tuesday afternoon.

On the heels of being tabbed to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Region First Team on Monday, Beall adds another accolade to her impressive resume. A three-time All-UAA First Team and two-time All-Region First Team selection, Beall concluded her four-year career ranked among the all-time bests in team history: first in shots on goal (112), second in shots attempted (213), 10th in goals scored (22) and tied for 11th in both assists (20) and points (64).

In addition, Beall was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree, the 2016 UAA Rookie of the Year, a three-time UAA All-Academic Team member and was selected to the 2018-19 UAA President's Scholar-Athlete Council. She's on track to graduate with a degree in Biology and a minor in Sociology and currently owns a 3.95 grade-point average.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, student-athletes must be a key starter or reserve, maintain a 3.30 grade point average, be of sophomore standing or higher, and have attended their current institutions for at least one year.
