Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Alex Adams (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Women's Soccer Team, becoming the fourth honoree for the women's soccer program. Adams is one of two sophomores selected to the 33-member team and was honored on the second team.

Adams was honored by United Soccer Coaches and D3soccer.com as a third-team All-American in 2019 after a rookie campaign where she scored a team best 14 goals and broke the school record for points in a season with 34. Seven of her goals were game winners, which tied the school's single-season record. Adams helped lead the program to its first NCAA semifinal appearance and scored in the NCAA semifinal against Messiah.

In the classroom, Adams carries a 3.94 grade point average as a mechanical engineering major. She is a research undergraduate assistant, a teaching assistant, and serves as a mechanical engineering student advisory council representative. Her summer plans include an internship at RE2 Robotics in mechanical engineering.

Adams joins Camille Williams (2017 and 2019) and Carson Quiros (2015) as CoSIDA Academic All-Americans for the women's soccer program.
