Hannah Rittenhouse Hat Trick Sends UChicago Past Wheaton

Graduate student forward Hannah Rittenhouse scored three times to lead University of Chicago to a 4-0 home win over Wheaton College (IL).

UChicago outshot the Thunder 11-1 in the first half, including a 4-1 edge in shots on goal. The Maroons scored the first goal of the match in the 24th minute as Rittenhouse netted the go-ahead goal for the hosts. The second goal was scored by Kamiryn Grimes off of a Valerie Champagne assist in the 32nd minute. A little more than four minutes later Rittenhouse tallied her second goal of the match off of a Livia Sabloff assist in the 36th minute. 

Rittenhouse tallied her third goal of the match in the 63rd minute. Rittenhouse registered a goal off of a Sarah Ginsburg assist. UChicago outshot the Thunder 9-2 in the second half, with a shot on goal for each team.
 
UChicago netminder Sophie Pilarski tallied two saves in 69 minutes in the hosts' net. Adrienne Chan replaced Pilarski for the final 21 minutes of the match with zero saves.
 
Chicago outshot Wheaton 20-3 in the match, including a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal.
