The Emory University women have won 27 Association titles, including every championship since 1999. The Eagles' men have also won each title since 1999 and seek a 21st consecutive UAA championship this week.

Six Association teams on each side enter the championship ranked in the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Top-25. In the women's poll, second-ranked Emory leads a contingent of six schools ranked inside the CSCAA top-20. Chicago (seventh), Washington University (ninth), and NYU (10th) lay claim to top-10 rankings with Carnegie Mellon University slotted 11th and Case Western Reserve University 20th.

On the men's side, four UAA teams are ranked in the top-10, led by fifth-ranked Carnegie Mellon University and followed by Washington University (sixth), Emory (seventh), and Chicago (ninth). NYU (14th) and CWRU (20th) are also ranked.
