Ally Persky of WashU Named Women's Tennis Elite 90 Recipient

Washington University in St. Louis senior student-athlete Ally Persky is the recipient of the Elite 90 Award for the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships.

A chemical engineering major with a 4.0 GPA, Persky recently graduated as a valedictorian of the McKelvy School of Engineering. She was presented the Elite 90 Award Friday morning during the NCAA Individual Championships at the Champions Tennis Center where she is competing in both the singles and doubles draw. Persky's honor is the 14th Elite 90 selection in the history of WashU Athletics and the first for the women's tennis program.

Persky is a three-time Academic All-University Athletic Association selection and has been named an ITA Scholar-Athlete twice. She was named Third-Team CoSIDA Academic All-American last season and earned Academic All-District honors the last two seasons.

A native of Solon, Ohio, Persky led WashU to its 20th NCAA Tournament appearance earlier this month and the Bears finished in the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2017. Her playing accolades include being named ITA All-American in doubles in 2017-18, First-Team All-UAA in singles in 2019-20 and doubles in 2017-18, and Second-Team All-UAA in singles in 2017-18.
