First-year player Perene Wang finished a combined 6-0 in singles and doubles as University of Chicago won all three of its matches over the weekend. She teamed with Claudia Ng for three wins at No. 1 doubles in Maroons’ wins over Kalamazoo College, 28th-ranked Hope College, and 29th-ranked UAA rival Case Western Reserve University. Wang dropped just one game in four sets at fifth singles against Kalamazoo and Hope before defeating the Spartans’ Nicole Cardwell in three sets, 10-4 in the superbreaker.
