The Washington University in St. Louis women's indoor track and field team took first at the Midwest Elite Invitational Saturday in Whitewater, Wis.
Junior Eka Jose swept the long jump and triple jump to lead the No. 5 WashU women to a first-place finish out of eight teams in the field. The Bears topped No. 4 and second place Wisconsin-La Crosse 161.50-145.50.
Jose's winning mark in the triple jump (11.98m) ranks third in NCAA Division III, while senior Paige Lawler's first-place time in the 5000m is fifth best in D3 (17:08.59).
