Women’s Basketball Falls to Brandeis, 72-63

NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier women's basketball team lost 72-63 in non-conference action to Brandeis on Thursday night at Muldoon Gymnasium. 

The Raiders fell to 2-6 overall, while Brandeis collected their second win of the season to sit at 2-5 overall. 

Rivier led after the first quarter with a 22-14 lead before the Judges would take the lead late in the second quarter, which they did not let go over the remainder of regulation. 

Katherine Vaughan escorted Brandeis with 21 points and nine rebounds. Molly James contributed 12 points with four rebounds to push past the Raiders. 

Lyric Grumblatt helped to guide the Raiders with 29 points this evening, with 11 rebounds and three steals. Rachel Guinn followed with 13 points off the bench with eight rebounds for Riv. 

Brandeis shot 38% from the field and made 10 steals throughout the game. 

The Raiders are back home Saturday, Dec. 2 to face Emmanuel (Mass.) in GNAC play with a 12:00 p.m. tip off.
