The Emory University women's tennis team returned to the courts Sunday afternoon to blank SCAD Atlanta by a 9-0 count on the indoor courts of the WoodPEC in Atlanta.
The Eagles wasted little time with the Bees, picking up a pair of 8-1 wins at the top two doubles positions from Emily Kantrovitz/Ana Cristina Perez and Alexa Goetz/Izzy Antanavicius before rounding out the doubles sweep with an 8-5 result on court three by Eliza McPherron/Iris Berman.
In singles, Emory had straight set wins in five of the six matches and did not drop more than two games in a set in all five wins. Senior Stephanie Shulman rounded out the singles sweep with her three-set win at the top position, 6-4, 4-6, 12-10.
The Eagles will continue their hamestand with three more home matches this weekend against NC Wesleyan, DePauw and Sewanee.
