The clinic, which was attended by more than 60 youth ages 4-10, was led by athletes and coaches from the WashU men’s and women’s basketball teams. The youth were taken through eight stations of drills including ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defense, before finishing with a relay race. Members of the WashU teams also signed autographs for the children after the event.

“We always say basketball is a fun game and this is where it starts,” said WashU head men’s basketball coach Mark Edwards. “This is where kids learn to enjoy the game and get a passion for it. I think it strikes a chord with all of our players that at one time they were just like this.”
