Cameron McMullen Tabbed as WashU Assistant Coach

From Washington University Athletics

Washington University in St. Louis Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs & John M. Schael Director of Athletics Anthony J. Azama, along with head baseball coach Pat Bloom have announced Cameron McMullen, Ph.D. as the next assistant baseball coach. McMullen, who has served as a NCAA Division III head coach, brings 10-plus years of collegiate coaching experience to the Danforth Campus. Most notably, McMullen was on the 2019 Chapman University coaching staff that won the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.

"We are excited to welcome Cameron McMullen to WashU as our next assistant coach and recruiting coordinator," said Bloom. "The pool of candidates was quite strong for this position, but Cameron's intelligence, background, and temperament made him the clear choice amongst our staff.

Chapman University has been a perennial power at the Division III level, so we know that Cameron has received solid mentorship as well as experience recruiting on the high-academic circuit. In addition, his technical background as both a hitting and infield coach proved to be a match for our program. All in all, Cameron is a great fit for WashU and our Scholar Champions!"
