From Case Western Reserve University Athletics

The National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) has announced the members of the 2014 NFF Hampshire Honor Society. Amongst the honoree are Case Western Reserve University seniors Scott Campbell (Chagrin Falls, Ohio/Chagrin Falls) and Steven Magister (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton).

The NFF Hampshire Society is comprised of college football players from all divisions that maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better throughout their college career. Both Campbell and Magister have maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA and were winners of CWRU's Patricia B. Kilpatrick Award, given to the four-year varsity participant with the highest GPA.

On the field, Campbell enjoyed his finest season as a Spartan in 2013. Starting all nine games at linebacker, Campbell ranked fifth on the team with 41 tackles to go along with a fumble recovery. He was also named All-University Athletic Association Honorable Mention in addition to earning UAA All-Academic honors for the third season in a row.

Magister, also a three-time UAA All-Academic honoree, played in all nine games with seven starts at fullback. Primarily utilized as a blocking back, Magister caught five passes for 86 yards, including a career-long 51-yard reception in the season finale at Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.).
