From Washington University Athletics

Washington University in St. Louis senior Jasmine Williams was selected as the 2014 University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Most Outstanding Performer in the field events, and head coach Jeff Stiles and his assistants were named the UAA Men's and Women's Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year, as announced Thursday by the conference office.

Williams, who was also the UAA Indoor Most Outstanding Performer in the field events this season, swept the conference titles in the women's high jump and long jump, while finishing fifth in the triple jump and eighth in the 100. She cleared a height of 1.63 meters to win the high jump championship for the second year in a row. In the long jump, Williams missed her career-best by just four centimeters, winning the event on her final attempt of the competition with a mark of 5.54m.

She added a fifth-place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 10.67m in her first time competing in the event. Williams also placed eighth in the 100 for the Washington U. women who won the team title for the first time since 2009. She is the first women's athlete in school history to earn UAA Outstanding Performer honors for both indoor and outdoor in the same year.

In addition, Stiles and assistant coaches Lane Lohr, Leslie Davis, Aubrey Edwards-Luce, Danny Edwards-Luce, Tucker Hartley, Kelly Lovett, Scott Pettit, Gordon Reiter, Nich Steinbach and Andy Weatherford were named the UAA Men's and Women's Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year after leading Washington University to a sweep of the team titles. The WUSTL men won the UAA Outdoor Championship for the sixth year in a row, while the Washington U. women took first after finishing as the runner-up each of the past two seasons. Stiles, who was also the 2014 UAA Men's Indoor Coaching Staff of the Year, received the men's outdoor honor for the fifth year in a row. It was the second time he and his staff have been recognized as the UAA Women's Outdoor Coaching Staff of the Year.
