NACDA And NADIIIAA Announce Partnership

NACDA And NADIIIAA Announce Partnership

From NACDA Release

The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) announced today that the groups have entered into a partnership effective July 1.

NADIIIAA will be the 17th professional association that is managed out of the NACDA & Affiliates office, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.

“We look forward to our partnership with NACDA. Their demonstrated expertise in association management will help us take NADIIIAA to the next level, allow us to provide additional services to our members, and help ensure a solid future and prudent succession planning for the future,” commented NADIIIAA Executive Director Dick Rasmussen. “This decision began almost two years ago with a review of our association by the NADIIIAA Executive Board guided by input from all previous NADIIIAA officers and board members. During that strategic assessment process, it became clear to us that a partnership with NACDA will provide us with a long-term, expanded level of management services that will allow us to increase the level and type of services we provide our members well into the future.”

"NADIIIAA’s mission of providing a forum for the exchange of ideas, professional growth and a unifying vehicle for the DIII membership falls in line with NACDA’s mission of providing educational opportunities for all athletics administrators on a national level,” stated NACDA Executive Director Bob Vecchione. “We are excited to have NADIIIAA join our umbrella of associations and look forward to further promoting the vision and principles of the division as a whole.”

The partnership between NACDA and NADIIIAA will create more opportunities for Division III athletics administrators to attend the NACDA & Affiliates Convention Week and increase professional development opportunities in athletics administration throughout the year.

More than 180,000 student-athletes at 450 institutions make up Division III, the largest NCAA division in both the number of participants and number of schools. Division III prides itself on the three D’s – Discover, Develop and Dedicate. DIII institutions and conferences develop student-athlete potential through a holistic educational approach that includes rigorous academics, competitive athletics and an opportunity to pursue other interests and passions.

NADIIIAA is comprised of more than 700 athletics administrators from over 350 institutions and conferences competing at the NCAA Division III level. The Association encourages the continued development of athletics programs focused on the student-athlete and based on sound educational principles and the Division III philosophy.

About NACDA: NACDA, now in its 51st year, is the professional and educational Association for more than 11,000 college athletics administrators at more than 1,600 institutions throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
