Washington University in St. Louis will serve as the host of the 2020 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Tennis Championships and the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship, the NCAA Announced on Tuesday.
"We are excited to partner with the St. Louis Sports Commission to host the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Tennis Championships in 2020 and the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship in 2021," said WashU Interim Director of Athletics Chris Peacock. "This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our campus and the St. Louis community to the many competitors and fans who will attend the championships."
The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Tennis Championships will be held May 18-23, 2020, at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park, while the NCAA Division III Volleyball Championship will be held Nov. 18-20, 2021 at the WU Field House on the campus of WashU.
"The St. Louis Sports Commission is thrilled to once again partner with Washington University to bring two wonderful NCAA Championships to our region," said Chris Roseman, Vice President of the St. Louis Sports Commission. "We look forward to producing two memorable events for the student-athletes and showcasing Washington University and the Dwight Davis Tennis Center."
WashU served as the host of the first National Collegiate Singles and Doubles Championships in 1958 and the 2007 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship in 2007, while the Danforth Campus is hosting the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship for the seventh time (1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 2010, 2011).
