Emory University senior Jake Davis (Cincinnati, OH) has been recognized by D3hoops.com for his outstanding play during the 2013-14 campaign, earning a second-team berth on its All-America Team.

The 6-foot-5 Davis established school season records in points (609 pts.), scoring average (22.6 ppg) and free throws (168) in helping the Eagles to an overall record of 19-9 that included the program's first-ever appearance in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division III Tournament.  Davis led the University Athletic Association in scoring in both overall and league (22.5 ppg) contests and paced the Emory scoring effort in a total of 16 games.  A three-time honoree to the All-UAA First Team during his storied career, Davis was selected as the league's player of the week on three occasions this past year, and was chosen as the D-III Player of the Month for February by DIII News.

Career-wise, Davis finished No. 2 on the school's all-time lists in scoring (1,870 pts.), scoring average (18.3 ppg), field goals (671) and free throws (409).  During his stint as an Eagle, the program compiled an overall record of 78-27, making him the winningest player in school annals.

Davis becomes the first Emory cager since Tim Garrett (1990) to earn All-America honors.
