New York University's men's basketball team was honored with a Team Academic Excellence Award by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Wednesday, July 29. Additionally, Patrick Burns, Hakeem Harris and Evan Kupferberg were each named to the NABC's Honors Court for their efforts in the classroom.

The NABC Team Excellence Award is given to teams with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2014-15 season.
In order to be named to the Honors Courts, players must be juniors or seniors with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2.

NYU wrapped up its 2014-15 campaign with a 19-9 record and a trip to the ECAC Division III Metro Championship finals.
