Judges Post 1-2 Record at 2017 Beanpot

The Brandeis men's fencing team went 1-2 on Wednesday evening at the 2017 Beanpot Tournament.

The Judges opened with a 20-7 defeat at the hands of Harvard. Epee and saber were 6-3 each, while foil was 8-1 for the Crimson. Up next, Brandeis won all three weapons against Boston College in a 19-8 win. Foil bounced back with a 7-2 win, while saber took a 5-4 victory and epee won, 6-3.

Against MIT, the Judges were handed a 14-13 defeat despite winning two of three weapons. Foil and saber prevailed by the same scores as against BC, but the Engineers were 8-1 victors in epee action to take the win. Harvard finished the night 3-0, while the other three squads each earned one win to finish at 1-2.
