Rochester Shoots 302 Monday To Finish Second at Guy Kuhn Invitational

MEADVILLE, Pa – Rochester shot a 302 on Monday, the lowest round of the day and finished second in the 16-team Guy Kuhn Invitational hosted by Allegheny College.

That 302 performance was the second lowest round of the entire tournament over two days. Carnegie Mellon, which won the championship, shot a 300 on Sunday (Rochester shot a 304). The Tartans finished with 603 strokes. Rochester was two strokes back at 606. Host Allegheny was third at 607, and Kenyon finished fourth at 610.

Nick Palladino was the only man in the 93-person field to shoot par on Monday. He had a 72 and finished tied for second place with a 148 (76-72). Jona Scott tied for 11th place with a 152 (dual rounds of 76). G.W. VanderZwaag, Rochester's first day leader with a two-over 74, had a 154 for 36 holes and was tied for 20th place. Matt Van Niekerk shot a 154 as well (78-76) and tied for 20th. Will Mallia had a 162 (84-78) for a 162 (47th place). RafaelBaez played as an individual. He finished in 42nd place after dual rounds of 80.
