The Yellowjackets ended the first two rounds with a combined score of 599 ranking 15th of 41 teams in the field, just making the cut by three strokes over first and second round playing partners from Concordia (Texas).  Rochester was the final team to make the cut in this its first NCAA appearance since the 2005 season.  UR's day two score was the 8th best in the field on Wednesday.

Leading the way for UR was sophomore Dominick Schumacher who was steady on Wednesday, carding an even par 72 on the Grandover West Course.  He made two birdies and two bogeys on his round, jumping nearly 60 spots on the individual leaderboard to a tie for 61st place.

Senior Nick Palladino made four birdies and five bogeys for a one-over 73 for the second straight day.  His two day total of 146 has him in a tie for 20th place among the 210 total golfers in the field.

Matt van Niekerk had an up and down day for Rochester on day two.  The freshman had four birdies and six bogeys for a +2 score of 74.  He recorded all four of his birdies in the first 10 holes, but came in with three bogeys in the last eight holes.  He has a two day total of 153 and sits in a tie for 90th.

Will Mallia, UR's other senior in the lineup carded a second day 77 (+5) to rank in a tie for 61st with a score of 150 after the first two rounds.  Sophomore G.W. VanderZwaag got off to a quick start on Wednesday recording two birdies in his first four holes, but found some trouble coming in and ended with a 78 (+6).

Schreiner University sits in first place after the first two rounds, shooting scores of 285 and 293 for a 578 (+2) score through Wednesday.  Even though UR was the final team to make the cut, the Yellowjackets are just eight strokes behind 5th place, as the field is tightly bunched together.
