Emory's Connor Yakubov Earns PING All-America Honors

Emory University's Connor Yakubov  (Columbus, OH) earned Third Team All-America honors  earlier this week with the release of the Golf Coaches Association of America Division III Ping All-America teams.

The GCAA finalized the All-America list with the release of the second, third and honorable mention teams. The first team was released following the conclusion of the D-III Championships in May.

Yakubov wrapped up his freshman season averaging a team-best 74.62 strokes over 21 rounds of play, good for third place on the program's seasonal ladder. Named the University Athletic Association's Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, he was one of 30 semifinalists for the 2016 Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Award. He shot par or better on five occasions and was tabbed as the league's Golfer of the Week four times.
