From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics

The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team competed in the second round of the 2017 NCAA Division III Championships on Wednesday, May 17 and carded a 320. The Tartans played the par-72, 6,888-yard Las Colinas Course at the Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida on Wednesday and finished 31st with a 647 (327-320).
    
Following the first two rounds of play, the field was cut to the top 18 teams and six individuals not on an advancing team. Carnegie Mellon's senior George Qian (Bettendorf, Iowa/Montverde Academy) made the cut as an individual after carding a 148 (76-72). Qian led the Tartans for the second straight day on Wednesday with an even par 72.

Junior Nikhil Mohan (Bangalore, India/Canadian International School) carded a 160 (81-79) with senior Brad Jennette (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Sutherland) ending his collegiate career with a 165 (81-84). Junior Adrian Del Bosque (Monterrey, Mexico/IMG Academy) shot a 174 (89-85) and sophomore Patrick Tan(Vancouver, British Columbia/Prince of Wales Secondary) fired a 180 (92-88) over the two rounds.
