The New York University men's golf team had a better outing on day two of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship, defeating the University of Rochester 3-2. The Violets earned third place with the victory.

Luke Oberholtzer took first in the individual tournament, shooting a 76 and registering a two-day total of 151. He defeated second-place finisher Ryan Dougherty of the University of Rochester by seven strokes. Pratheek Velamuri (181) and Stian Lintvedt (185) of NYU finished in ninth and tenth place, respectively.

"The matches today were pretty exciting," said Head Coach Brad Johnson. "Matt Shen had a fantastic tournament with his second win today and Robbie Keyes shot a birdie on the first hole in sudden death to secure the victory for us over Rochester."
