The Carnegie Mellon University men's golf team finished third at The Visit Florence Intercollegiate. The 54-hole event was played at Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at The Shoals. The Tartans carded a 293 on Tuesday and ended with a 878 (295-290-293).
Inside the Intercollegiate:
Tournament Finish: 3rd of 16 Teams
Tournament Team Champion: Emory, 862 (297-282-283) and Methodist, 862 (293-283)
Tournament Individual Medalist: Cameron Cappuzzo, Methodist (-9)

How it Happened:
- Junior Brian Xu continued to lead the Tartans, as he fired a final round score of even par 72 and ended the 54-hole event with a 212 (72-68-72). The junior placed second individually in a field of 96 golfers.
- Graduate student Henry Scavone fired a three-over par 75 for the final round and ended with a 224 (75-74-75).
- Sophomore Justin Chan carded a 227 (75-73-79) over the 54-hole intercollegiate.
- Freshman Andrew Wang tied his season-best round of two-under par 70 on Tuesday and finished tied with Chan with a 227(73-84-70).
- Freshman David Zhang sat a stroke back of Chan and Wang with a 228 (77-75-76).
- The Tartans had one individual compete in the intercollegiate, as freshman Jay Saluja ended with a 220 (73-74-73).
