The New York University men's golf team's 2023 fall season is underway.

The Violets are competing at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT, on Saturday and Sunday, September 9-10.

After Saturday's first round, the squad is tied for 18th place after shooting 314.

Newcomer Joymuth Luangtana-anan was NYU's low scorer, carding a two-over-par 73 and tying for 12th place.

Rohan Aerrabolu shot 77 and is tied for 51st.

Next up for NYU is captain Kevin Kim, who is tied for 74th place after shooting 79. 

Ryan Leung is also scoring for the Violets. He completed the round with an 85 and is tied for 110th place.

Overall, 24 teams and 122 golfers are competing.
