William Webb of Carnegie Mellon Closes Career as NSCAA All-American

From Carnegie Mellon University Athletics

Senior William Webb (Dallas, Texas/J.J. Pearce) of the Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer team closed his career as an NSCAA NCAA Division III Men's Soccer All-American. Webb was selected to the second team after garnering his second career All-Great Lakes Region honor.

Webb led the Tartans and the University Athletic Association in goals scored and points for the second consecutive season, finishing his final campaign with 13 goals and 31 points. He opened the year with at least one goal in five of the first six games, twice recording a hat trick. One of his three-goal performances came in a 4-3 victory against then nationally ranked Messiah College. Webb recorded four multi-goal games and finished his career in the NCAA tournament, making his third appearance with the Tartans.

Webb becomes the seventh Tartan to earn NSCAA All-America distinction and the first since Ricky Griffin was a two-time honoree in 2008 and 2009.
