The Emory University men's soccer team defeated the University of Rochester 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams.

The Eagles were outshot 16-7 in the game but made the most out of their limited chances. Emory's first three out of four shots on goal in the contest found the back of the net en route to victory. Senior Matt Sherr scored the first goal in the game and sophomore Austin Mirabella netted the first two goals on the season.

Sherr tallied his fourth goal on the season in the 10th minute putting a header to the back post on a Connor Curtin corner kick. It was Curtin's first point on the year and the third assist in his career.

Mirabella scored the first of his two goals in the 30th minute as he poked in a loose ball after it hit off sophomore Jason McCartney inside the box following an Adam Fergusoncorner kick. It was McCartney's second assist of the season while it was Ferguson's first career point.

Mirabella added the final blow at the 56th minute mark in the second half, putting in the rebound after a Nick Schook shot that was saved by the Yellowjackets' goalkeeper. It was Schook's team-leading third assist.
