The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team recorded a 2-0 shutout, scoring a goal in each half, against non-conference opponent North Park University on Saturday afternoon in Chicago, Illinois.

The Spartans advance to 5-7-3 overall, while the Vikings drop to 9-5-1 on the season.

In the first, with two minutes remaining the Spartans found the back of the net. Freshman midfielder Brian Woo took a corner kick and sophomore midfielder Josh Wargo received the pass and laced a shot to the top left corner of the goal past the goalkeeper's reach. The Spartans would remain a 1-0 edge through the end of the half.

Just within the 84th minute of play, the Spartans struck for their second goal of the game. Senior defender Zach Broujos sent a pass that met the feet of senior midfielder Jacob Grindel. Grindel drove the ball into the bottom left corner of the net to secure the win for the Spartans.

Junior goalkeeper Calvin Boyle went the distance and made seven saves.
