McCartney earned Second Team honors while Gardiner was placed on the Third Team. This is the first All-Region selection for either player in their respective careers.

McCartney led the Emory offense in almost every statistical category this past season, recording 21 points on seven goals and seven assists, totaling 41 shots and 24 shots on goal in addition to three game-winning goals, figures all marking team-highs and career-bests. Earlier this offseason, the Raleigh, NC native was named to the All-University Athletic Association First Team and became just the 10th Eagle in program history to be selected as a CoSIDA Academic All-American.

Gardiner headlined the Emory backline that finished the year with a 1.20 goals-against average, allowing just 20 goals in 16 games while holding opponents to averages of 10.4 shots and 4.1 shots on goal per game. The Vienna, VA native added a career-high five points on offense, scoring the first two goals of his career in wins over Berry and Covenant while assisting in a tie against Carnegie Mellon. Previously this season, Gardiner was named to his first All-UAA Team, earning Second Team honors, and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.

The Eagles concluded the season with a 10-5-1 overall record and finished fourth in the UAA standings with a 3-3-1 mark in league competition.
