The No. 1 University of Chicago men's soccer team opened University Athletic Association play with a dominant performance Saturday on the road at Rochester, topping the host Yellowjackets 4-1.

The unbeaten Maroons (10-0, 1-0 UAA) scored four unanswered goals in the first half to take a commanding lead before letting in Rochester's (6-2-2, 0-1) lone score in the 52nd minute.

Junior Matthew Koh got things started for the nation's top team with less than 10 minutes gone in the game, netting his fourth goal of the year in the 9th minute, chipping a high ball from 30 yards out that sailed just below the cross bar to make it 1-0 Maroons.

Less than a minute later, senior Andre Abedian connected on a header goal in the box via a corner kick from Koh to give the visitors a two-goal lead. UChicago made it 3-0 in the 18th, when Koh struck again on a penalty kick created by teammate Dayo Adeosun, who was taken down in the box.

Junior forward Max Lopez – who entered Saturday's game with a team-best 11 goals – tallied his 12th in the 27th, ripping a hard shot from the edge of the box on the left side to make it 4-0 heading into the half.

Senior keeper Hill Bonin (one save) kept a clean sheet until seven minutes into the second half, when Rochester's Aidan Miller chipped in a cross from teammate Alex DiPerna.

UChicago, who has won 29-straight regular-season games after finishing the 2016 campaign unbeaten,  won the shot battle, 13-5, and held a 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
